Our Company
Primordial Group is a family-owned business established in 1992. Starting off as primordial Limited (PDL) with the sole focus on garments, PDL has evolved into a diverse conglomerate. Today PDL is active in the apparel, Energy, real estate, and construction industries.
Primordial limited was founded by Zahad Thakur in the early 90s to use his knowledge gained in his studies in the US to establish a denim factory. Till today, Zahad Thakur remains the chairperson of the group.
30 years of Primordial group
Set in the garments industry PDL moved on in the early 2000s to the european market. Primordial limited established its foothold in the European fashion industry with Paglie fashion. Paglie fashion was a children’s clothing brand with its headquarters located in Germany, and the largest market in Spain.
2009 PDL expanded into the energy industry, starting its largest business under Primordial Energy Ltd. (PEL). Pel has become a significant player in Bangladesh’s power and energy sector.
Primoridal Properties was successfully formed in 2017 to provide modern structures to today’s European standards with sustainable, functional, and aesthetic designs in residential and commercial spaces.
Family business
2022 Mr. Thakur’s daughter Delara Thakur joined the group after finishing her master’s in management and Innovation from the European School of Management and Technology in Berlin, Germany.
2018 she completed her Bachelor’s at Regents Business school in London in Management and Design thinking.
As the second generation of PDL, she strives to take the group to the next level, focusing on social and environmental responsibilities.
